• General Flying Progress
Test (GFPT)
This is the first step in achieving your Private Pilot Licence. The
General Flying Progress Test is conducted mid way on the road to the
Private Pilots Licence, covering the ab-intio part of your practical
and theory training. During this stage of your training, you are taught
initial flight sequences and how to operate the aircraft to a solo standard.
Theory instruction includes completion of a Basic Aeronautical Knowledge
Exam as required by the regulative authority.
On successful completion of the GFPT, you will be permitted to carry
passengers (Family and Friends) within the training area whilst you
are holding a Student Pilot Licence.
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum flying time 22 Hours
• Pass the Basic Aeronautical Knowledge exam
• Demonstrate your capability to the Chief Flying Instructor
• Undertake and pass a flight test
